Going through Twitter withdrawals. Need my fix. I feel so uninformed.

@maolfunction fuck twitter, I only use it to talk shit to strangers during sporting events

@triumph_forks I follow mostly journalists at this point, lol. They're usually more reliable on news than websites.

@MochaKoffee @triumph_forks depends entirely on the journalist, I'm aware lol.

but the ones I follow are pretty good about getting accurate info out quickly without too much punditry in between.

Buuuut, I do follow a lot of pundits too tho lol.

@maolfunction @triumph_forks a few journalists are good, but I'm tired of the 24/7 news cycle anyway, and don't really need to watch individual peoples fumble around and pretend to not understand how the platform works when they get called out for uncritically retweeting misinformation and nazi talking points lol

if it's important, i'll see it anyway soon enough 🤷‍♀️

@maolfunction @triumph_forks microblogging was just an absolutely terrible idea tbh

there's a few people i follow up on twitter because i genuinely enjoy the content they post, but i think an unfettered access to a stream of consciousness of so many is really not the healthiest thing lol

@MochaKoffee @triumph_forks I actually curate my feed a ton. The journalists I follow are ones I actually genuinely have enjoyed reading for years now.

I don't think it's healthy for people to let thousands of people blast their thoughts into their head, I agree, but I keep mine to a few key journalists who are active on there and the rest are friends or people I'm acquainted with.

The problem with Twitter is that most people don't filter it.

@MochaKoffee @maolfunction you sure to find a lot of random stuff on twitter for someone who doesn't use it :blobhyperthinkfast:

@triumph_forks @maolfunction i use it to follow certain people, and it's become the default place people share shit 🤷‍♀️
