The Rams bet the entire farm on impact, win-now trades and have zero cap room to work with. They have very little draft capital for at least the next two years. Jared Goff is a huge liability at the quarterback position and is in the middle of a huge contract extention. Unless they can make a huge turnaround I can't see this team competing in the NFC West for a few years.
It just goes to show you that success in the NFL is fleeting: two years ago Sean McVay and the Rams looked like the next big thing in the NFL and came off a rough loss in the Super Bowl. Now they're basically a .500 team while the Seahawks and the 49ers continue to run away from them.
It's really crazy just how long the Patriots and the Seahawks have stayed competitive in the NFL. That shit is difficult man
